A leading-area specialty cable broadcaster has created a new Records Management department to manage corporate records within the organization. Specifically, it is the objective of the Records Management team to develop and implement business processes for risk management and ideally, risk avoidance.

With corporate records come a litany of regulatory and compliance issues, including privacy legislation. To ensure compliance, organizations need to record the documents that they have in their possession, identify the required length of time that they need to be retained, and then ensure that they are adequately destroyed when the time comes.

The executives at the specialty broadcaster chose the Eloquent system to manage their internal records within their finance and legal departments because they were very familiar with the system, having worked with it at other organizations. Moreover, they knew that its flexibility would be beneficial within the complex environment at their organization. The Eloquent system was very affordable to purchase and once customized to their needs, delivered a considerably better solution for the company than it would have received using the competing system being considered.

The result of the installation is that the Records Management team is now doing a better job at managing the company’s corporate records and the complex issues surrounding the task.
