RG97: Audio-Video Media



RG97-002. Information Department. Analog Recordings.
This collection consists of over 5,000 audio tapes documenting federation conventions, interviews, press conferences, radio broadcasts, congressional testimony, and speeches, 1918, 1940-1993. NOTE: Due to preservation needs, research access is currently limited to conventions and to one radio series ("As We See It").

RG97-003. Education Department. Labor Films, 1947-.
This collection consists of titles created by the AFL-CIO, international unions and private and non-profit producers, late 1940s-early 1980s. Subject categories include civil rights, health care, labor history, organizing, and safety and health. Holdings are 16mm film.

RG97-004. AFL-CIO Film Productions. Americans at Work, 1959-1960.
Americans at Work is a moving image collection with accompanying documentary and visual material. The former consists of three-quarter inch video tape and betacam digital dubs; the latter consists of correspondence and production materials, production records, transcripts, and photographs. The AFL-CIO produced the weekly television series in 1959 for public service programming.
