| The Eloquent Heritage Management
Suite gives you a single system to record and manage all your
heritage. The public finds it all with one Internet search. |
Eloquent Heritage provides the following benefits. Some are available
only with the integrated suite and not if you were using different
software for each application.
1. Accepted - used by everyone in the organization
As the suite is entirely web-based, everyone with an Internet connection
can gain access from anywhere. Searches are as precise as
needed. For hard copy, requests are made with automatic email
containing vital information from the database.
2. Complete - only one place to look
Everything a user needs is in a single heritage system, which integrates
library, archives, and museum. One search will find information
from all three. All aspects of your cultural history will
be stored in a single digital repository.
3. Current - up-to-date info
Your Eloquent Heritage database is a dynamic system. It is not a
static, published database. It reflects all workflow transactions
and all new information as soon as it is entered and approved.
4. Vocabulary - everyone on the same page
Eloquent Heritage gently guides users into sharing a common vocabulary.
By supporting synonyms and non-preferred terms, any alternate terminology
used is converted to your common standard.
5. Content - online digital/electronic info
Eloquent Heritage is ideal for digital repositories. Scanned
images, electronic documents, audio/visual materials and other digital
content are available online. A single click will bring items to
your users' desktops. They are easily linked to the metadata from
anywhere on the Internet.
6. Public Kiosk - find everything in one place
The public will access all your history using a single search window.
Searches may be text-based or icon-based and will draw on all types
of items: artifacts, photographs, archival documents, monographs,
etc.
7. Tradition - work with familiar processes
The databases and processes can be segregated into the traditional
library, archives and museum functions. While the public gets a
global view of the heritage system, your staff will continue to
use procedures specific to the application for which they are responsible.
These objectives can only be achieved with a fully integrated suite.
When library, archives and museum applications are run independently,
the above objectives are not possible.
